Under 18, Mature and NSFW content are off, and ads are not personalized. Chat, followers, and profile discoverability start at their most private setting. Ages 13–15 cannot change these. Ages 16–17 can, and chat requests start at Nobody.
- Open the account together and confirm the birthday is the real one. The defaults depend on it.
- For ages 13–15, you should not see a way for them to loosen chat, followers, or discoverability.
- For ages 16–17, look at chat requests. Nobody is the starting point if they have not changed it.
